PRINCE2 Project Management - Foundation & Practitioner Qualifications

I’ve just returned from a hectic, manic, information overloaded (and any other words attached!) week of PRINCE2 Foundation & Practitioner Training/Course.

Whilst it was intense, it was extremely valuable as the knowledge gained regarding PRINCE2 practices and other key resources will become invaluable if used appropriately and effectively.

I passed the Foundation mid-week which was fantastic but the wait is now on for the Practitioner results which could take up to 5 weeks… wish me luck!

I’ve just found out that I passed the Practitioner Exam… so I’m now a qualified PRINCE2 Practitioner!

Food Safety & Hygiene Certificate

Yay! I’ve just past the Level 2 Award in Food Safety & Hygiene for Catering which is recognised by the UK Government for catering.

The course included:

  • Food Poisoning – Why food safety is important in the catering sector
  • Bacteriology – Types of bacteria and factors that can affect its multiplication
  • Prevention of Contamination – Controlling measures that can be put into place to prevent the spread of bacteria
  • Temperature Control – How to measure food temperatures and how temperature control for certain food types will reduce the multiplication of bacteria
  • Personal Hygiene – How food handlers must maintain high levels of personal hygiene
  • Premises & Pest Control – The need to keep food premises maintained and in good condition and the consequences for the food business if infestation occurs
  • Cleaning & Disinfection – Methods to keep premises and equipment in good order
  • The Law – The legal obligations of food handlers

Healthy Eating & Special Diet Certificate

Yay! I’ve just past the Level 2 Award in Healthier Food & Special Diets which is recognised by the UK Government for healthy eating.

This is fantastic… it means I know what I’m talking about when it comes to Diet Planning, Healthy Eating, Nutrition and Special Diet Considerations.

The course included:

  • Introduction to Nutrition & Health
  • Nutrients, Their Function & Sources
  • Factors Affecting the Nutrient Content of Foods
  • Diet & Health
  • Food Choices & Nutritional Needs of Different Groups
  • Requirements When Catering for the Public
